Selina Ortiz-Ott

My name is Selina, and I was born in Peru in a family that loves parties and good food. As a child, I loved to work with my family in the kitchen helping prepare meals. I married Dean and we moved to the United States, where I had the opportunity to make a career out of my passion. I studied and graduated with honors from the Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts in Austin. My journey as an entrepreneur in the United States started with Mi Peru Catering, which has now evolved into Selina’s Manq’a. I have the pleasure to share this journey with my sister Patricia, and I thank Dean and our three lovely children for their continuous support in this great adventure.

Patricia Ortiz

My name is Patricia Ortiz. I was born in Trujillo, Peru. In my house we always ate and enjoyed all kinds of food, especially on Sundays. Later I had the opportunity to travel to Europe where I experienced many cultural varieties of cuisine. I married Jorge and we have two handsome sons. I had the opportunity to work managing the family restaurant. The customer service was always important to me. I liked to see the customers leave happy with the attention they received.

My first experience as a partner with my sister Selina was in Peru, when we opened a travel agency together. Now with Selina’s Manq’a, my sister and I are doing something we like. We enjoy knowing that every opportunity to work with a client is a new chance to give the best of us in every detail.
